A vacant rental home was broken into and used for parties, police say.

The property owner reported damage to the home at about 2:15 p.m. on Monday. Sometime over the past couple of weeks, the residence, on the 700-block of 10th Street, had had a side door forced open and had apparently been used as a party location. There was damage to the walls and carpet.

Police continue to investigate.
