Conservatives busy cleaning up NDP mess
As a regular reader of Sound Off, it has become laughable how the NDP faithful keep complaining about our premier’s vacation plans. I have no doubt that Mr. Pallister can make better decisions while away on vacation than the NDP under Selinger could while still in the legislature. The NDP had many, many years in power and all they accomplished was to run up a huge debt that our children will have to pay for for the rest of their lives in the form of higher taxes. Maybe some tough intelligent decision-making instead of just handing out money to anyone who asks would have made more sense. It must have been very easy to simply say yes to everything asked of them with no thought of what the consequences would be. Now the Conservatives are faced with having to cut back spending so that our children at least have a chance of getting ahead. Some very tough and unpopular decisions are going to have to be to made to accomplish this. I suggest they start with unions and civil servants.
Pallister is paying for his own vacation
At least Mr. Pallister is paying for his vacation out of his own pocket, as it should be. Guess who is paying for Mr. Trudeau to travel across Canada and around the world on his seemingly endless vacations since taking office? The Liberals have once again shown their arrogance and sense of entitlement by helping themselves and making sure Quebec comes first and Ontario comes second and everyone else comes last. Are we really this stupid? And have we all forgotten about the corruption of the Chrétien Liberals that the Conservatives were asked by voters to clean up? Why would anyone think Justin Trudeau would be any different? Shame on us for voting them in to power.
Get your manure spreaders ready
I just watched Mr. Trump in his first news press conference and I think any manufacturers of manure spreaders should have a big smile on their face.
Like father, like son?
Canadian farmers may be in for a rough four years. Pierre Trudeau was no great champion or friend of Canadian agriculture and Justin may be just like him. I well remember the ’60s when farmers had bins full of grain but couldn’t even pay their hydro bills. If this guy is anything like his father God help the farmers because Justin sure as heck won’t.
