Good Samaritans are still out there

A big thank you to the two gentlemen who helped me after I got a flat tire on the way to Clear Lake on Sunday night. Neither of them expected any money. They got their hands dirty and they didn’t care and they were just wonderful. I thank them very much. I am so happy that there are still people like them around.

Rolling the dice

It was interesting to see the answers to the Question of the Week in your paper from the locals wanting to be our MLAs. The topic was a casino for Brandon. None even said that they would want to bring it all up again. To me, that’s a mistake. A casino would have helped us out a lot. And it isn’t getting built anytime soon over near Carberry.

Which province are we in?

I am not the most intelligent branch of the Progressive Conservative tree, so can the NDP please explain their attack ad on Global TV accusing Mr. McFadyen of wanting to privatize MTS and Ontario Hydro? Have our boundaries expanded suddenly?

Are you a vehicle or a pedestrian? You can be both

Re: “Wrong Attitude” Sound Off from Sept. 13 edition. Regarding the statement made, “… but at least he/she crossed at a crosswalk” — a bicycle is a vehicle under the traffic law — vehicles do not cross at crosswalks, ever! I do wish the officers would, just once, enforce this law!
