Brandonite Brayden Cuthbert set up both of Justin Dalebozik’s goals as the Neepawa Natives beat the Waywayseecappo Wolverines 3-0 in their Manitoba Junior Hockey League game Sunday night in Neepawa.

Clarke Rempel, who’s originally from Neepawa, also scored for the Natives (4-6-0). Brandon’s Clayton Heinrichs and MacGregor’s Landon Thompson picked up assists. Cory Simons made 21 saves for the Wolverines (4-4-1).

In Sunday’s other games, it was: OCN Blizzard 4, Portage Terriers 0; and Winnipeg Blues 5, Selkirk Steelers 1.

On Saturday, it was: Wolverines 6, Virden Oil Capitals 4; Dauphin Kings 5, Swan Valley Stampeders 3; Blues 7, Blizzard 2; and Winkler Flyers 5, Terriers 3.

Blizzard 4 Terriers 0

At Portage la Prairie, Brandonite Josh Elmes set up goals by Wilson Dumais and Darien Cardinal as the Blizzard (9-2-1) shut out the Terriers (6-3-1).

Blues 5 Steelers 1

At Selkirk, Daniel Fainman scored one goal and set up three others for Winnipeg (7-2-0). Riley Derlago replied for Selkirk (4-4-1).

Wolverines 6 Oil Capitals 4

On Saturday at Wayway, Pilot Mound’s Brett Pinkerton scored a pair of goals, including an empty-netter, for the home side and Brandonite Riley Feser made 20 saves for the Wolverines. Curtis Houlden had a three-point night for Virden (4-3-2), which also got an assist from Brandon’s Cody Nelson.

Kings 5 Stampeders 3

At Dauphin, Brendan Hurley scored twice, while Souris’ Tanner Butler and former Brandon Wheat King Dominick Favreau both recorded two assists for the Kings (5-4-0). Brian Archibald made 27 saves in the Dauphin net. Max Flanagan and Riley Hiebert had two-point nights for the Stampeders (2-4-1).

Blues 7 Blizzard 2

At Winnipeg, Kurt Keats and Jared Morris both had a goal and two helpers for the Blues. Tyler Grove and Ralph Cochrane replied for OCN.

Flyers 5 Terriers 3

At Winkler, Tristan Keck scored two goals and set up three others, Curtis Toneff added two goals and Jordan Neduzak had three assists for the Flyers (4-4-2). MacGregor’s Mitch Wiebe took to loss for the Terriers, making 23 saves.
