Kate Broadhead, Kasie McLaughlin and Shailyn Eastcott scored in the second half to lead the Crocus Plainsmen to a 3-1 win over the Neelin Spartans in a Brandon High School Soccer League girls’ game on Thursday at Crocus. Jael Unger replied for the Spartans.
With the win, the Plainsmen (1-1) clinched second place and home field for the league semifinal against the Spartans (0-2) on Tuesday at 4:15 p.m.
The boys’ semifinal will feature the Spartans visiting the Plainsmen on Monday at 7 p.m.
