A big week by Ty Lewis helped the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League’s Brandon Wheat Kings stretch their winning streak to 18 games and earned him the nod as the Chicken Chef player of the week.

Lewis fired four goals and set up four more for eight points in three games for the first-place Wheat Kings, who extended their streak to 18 in a row with a 7-2 victory over the Southwest Cougars on Saturday night when Lewis had two goals and two assists. Lewis also had a goal and an assist in wins over the Parkland Rangers and Yellowhead Chiefs last week and is now tied for eighth in league scoring with 17 goals and 17 assists in 20 games.
