Kailee Stewart pitched a combined 12 innings to lead the Westman Magic to a 10-8 and 12-5 sweep of an under-18 girls fastball exhibition doubleheader with the Moosomin (Sask.) Preditors Monday at Brandon’s Steve Clark Field.
Stewart struck out four in seven innings in Game 1, while Cejay Hilhorst hit a three-run homer in the bottom of the seventh for the Magic.
In Game 2, Stewart struck out two over five innings before Brittany Scott closed out the final two innings in the 12-5 victory. Jaya Freeman, Morgan Glowa and Jeni Misko each had two hits for the Magic.
