COMEDIAN Big Daddy Tazz is recovering in hospital after suffering a major heart attack Tuesday afternoon.
Within 15 minutes of arriving at St. Boniface Hospital, the local standup comic who had been feeling weird lately was being prepped for the operating room where a stent was placed in a coronary artery that was 99 per cent blocked.
“Almost the moment they did it, I started feeling better and I was ready to go home but they weren’t letting me go home,” he said during a brief interview from his hospital room Wednesday. “I feel brand new.”

He says he could be going home as early as Thursday
Tazz hosted the comedy showcase Tazzy’s Angels at the just concluded Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival.
