Brandon residents will have an opportunity to share their stories about health care at a forum organized by local Liberal candidates in the upcoming provincial election.

The forum, scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 7 at 8 p.m., will be held at Knox United Church. It is not necessary to register in advance and refreshments will be served.

Brandon West candidate George Buri says that health care is a concern for people he has talked to along the campaign trail.

“We need to make the Health care system more patient-friendly and efficient," Buri said in a press release. "Health care is a legacy Manitobans value and we are determined to make the necessary changes to preserve and improve the system.”

Shaun Cameron, Liberal candidate in Brandon East, adds that the forum is part of the party’s commitment to grassroots-style leadership.

“This is an excellent opportunity for us to hear from Brandonites with regards to health and senior care in our community," Cameron said.
