The defending North Central Hockey League champion Grandview Comets will be taking on the best players from the rest of the league in the NCHL’s Cliff Kyle Memorial All-Star Game on Jan. 7.
The event will start with a skills competition at the Grandview Arena at 3 p.m. The game starts at 6 p.m. See Page B5 for the NCHL’s all-stars.
Meanwhile, in the North Central league on Thursday night, it was: Minnedosa Bombers 9, Shoal Lake Eagles 5; and the Miniota/Elkhorn C-Hawks 5, Virden Oil Kings 2.
Bombers 9 Eagles 5
In Minnedosa, Michael Birch scored one goal and set up three more for the Bombers. Brad Lewis had a three-point night for the Bombers, while Nathan Holovach had a goal and three assists for the Eagles.
C-Hawks 5, Oil Kings 2
In Virden, Nat Howard had two goals and an assist, while Tyler Wood, Jason Corbett and Curtis Gardham each scored once for the C-Hawks. Clinton Russell and Cole Harvey scored for the Oil Kings.
