A new patient advisory council to be formed at the Brandon Regional Health Centre, with the aim of improving health services both for patients and their families — and it needs a few members.
Members should be Manitoba residents who are 18 or older and who have either been previously hospitalized or been treated there as an outpatient.
The council will meet every three months (in March, June, September and December), on the fourth Wednesday, between 6-8p.m. Volunteers will receive supper and reimbursement for any travel expenses as per Brandon RHA travel guidelines.
For further information or to apply to become a member, please call (204) 578-2155.
Applicants will be screened and interviewed. The screening process will include a background check including a criminal record check and a child abuse check, however, they will be reimbursed for these costs.
