Savannah Tweet tossed a complete game with seven strikeouts to help the Westman Magic bantams win one of their four games in Manitoba Ladies Super Softball League action on the weekend.
Shelby Nohr drove in three runs with a double and a single to help Westman beat the host Winnipeg Angels 7-1 in the first of two games on Monday. Courtney Matienzo tripled and scored for the Magic in their 10-2 loss to complete the doubleheader.
On Saturday, Winnipeg’s Smitty’s Terminators swept Westman 10-3 and 13-1. Megan Asham hit a two-run homer in the first game, while pitcher Peyton Cobbe went the distance. In Game 2, Nicole Chatham doubled, while Tweet took the loss on the mound.
