A 34-year-old man from Brandon faces three charges after threatening a woman and wielding a knife.

At about 2:30 a.m. on May 26, Brandon police responded to a report from a woman who claimed to being choked and threatened with a knife.

The victim and the suspect were at the victim’s residence on a bay near Willowdale when the suspect choked here and held a knife to her. Police located the suspect and he has been charged with assault, threatening to cause death or injury, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
