Cartwright’s Tristen Mullin scored one goal and set up another for the Swan Valley Stampeders as they handed the visiting Virden Oil Capitals their fourth-straight Manitoba Junior Hockey League loss on Sunday evening in a 5-4 decision.
Elsewhere, it was Winkler Flyers 6, Selkirk Steelers 1.
On Saturday, it was: OCN Blizzard 6, Oil Capitals 3; Steinbach Pistons 4, Waywayseecappo Wolverines 1; Winnipeg Blues 3, Dauphin Kings 2; and Portage Terriers 5, Steelers 4.
In Swan River, Braydon MacDonald had a goal and two helpers for the Stampeders (9-10-2). MacGregor’s Tyler Ham and Souris’s Ben Williams both had goals for the Oil Capitals (7-10-3).
Flyers 6 Steelers 1
In Winkler, Zak Hicks of Boissevain had a goal and an assist, while Virden’s Cam Whyte and Holland’s Jeff Michiels also found the back of the net for Winkler (14-5-5). Dale Goodbrandson replied for Selkirk (7-10-1).
Blizzard 6 Oil Capitals 3
In The Pas, Suede Omeasoo scored three goals, as the Blizzard (10-10-1) won their third straight game.
Lucas Oliver of Melita and Brandon Wheat Kings prospect Dylan Thiessen each had a goal and an assist for the Oil Capitals.
Pistons 4 Wolverines 1
In Waywayseecappo, Jonah Wasylak scored three goals and assisted on the other one for the Pistons (13-6-0).
George Splichal scored as the Wolverines (6-15-1) lost their third game in a row.
Blues 3 Kings 2
In Winnipeg, Kamerin Nault had a goal and an assist for the Blues (13-3-5).
Kirlan Lycar and Mathieu Lapointe replied for the Kings (9-11-3).
Terriers 5 Steelers 4
In Portage la Prairie, Elkhorn’s Brad Bowels had a goal and an assist as the league-leading Terriers ran their record to 21-1-1 with their fifth win in a row. Brandonite Tanner Jago also scored for the Terriers.
Ty Kraus set up three Selkirk goals.
