Westman has a new author.
A retired teacher and educator for 33 years with the Brandon School Division, Sig Eiriksson had a book launch at the Riverbank Discovery Centre on Sept. 6.
Eiriksson wrote his article when he was 18 years of age in 1967 as a centennial project. Now, almost 50 years later, he has published the article in a book called “A Dilemma in Canada’s Centennial.”
Find out how a young Brandon teenager viewed his country and his future in 1967. Eiriksson said that he published it now in time for Canada’s 150th birthday in 2017.
The book, which can be purchased at the Riverbank Discovery Centre, can be used for many purposes in comparing how far we have come in the last 50 years, he said.
