Manitoba Hydro crews are dealing with a number of low-hanging power lines in Westman that may cause outages.
Wet snow and ice have accumulated on these lines and is causing them to sag close to the ground. The areas most affected are Killarney and Dauphin in Westman, while Morden has also been hit hard.
Poor road conditions have made it difficult to get to some lines, according to a Manitoba Hydro release.
To report a low or downed line, call 1-888-624-9376.
All low or downed lines should be treated as if they are energized. Moving power lines is extremely dangerous and could result in serious injury or death.
