There is something magical about celebrating Christmas.
There is something even more magical about letting the pressures and stress of the year go and having a chance to relax and celebrate a wonderful year to come with your co-workers.
Christmas cheer was in the air at the NetSet Communications Christmas party on Dec. 16. Some 120 NetSet employees, their guests and NetSet dealers attended the get-together, which was held at Prairie Firehouse.
Those who attended enjoyed a traditional Christmas dinner of turkey and all the trimmings with dessert from Cakes by Brett.
A charity auction was held with prizes donated by NetSet vendors. All proceeds were split between Samaritan House and Funds for Furry Friends.
My band, Misty Street, had an amazing time playing some music and keeping the dance floor grooving. Our lives are not complete until we get some volunteers playing a little cowbell. We even had a NetSet employee jump up and play some drums for a song.
Spreading Christmas cheer has an enlightening effect on the environment and those around you, and the NetSet Christmas party was a way to say thank you to their employees and their families as well as kicking off the new year with a little holiday cheer.
