The Manitoba RCMP is making sure they are following the advice of public health officials by supplying their officers with the personal protective equipment they need to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

As such, according to a Monday news release, residents of communities that are currently being served by the RCMP should now expect to see front-line officers wearing non-medical masks while on duty.

While some people might be uncomfortable with the idea of being approached by masked police officers, Monday’s release went on to clarify that each RCMP member should be carrying at least one of the following: a badge, photo identification, a name tag or a business card.
