The process of demolishing buildings to make way for the new Daly Overpass has begun, a spokesperson from Manitoba Infrastructure said in an email to the Sun.
Tender documents released last year by the province said the demolition would be completed by March, but the spokesperson said the timeline for the completion of demolition is now April.
Initial construction efforts for the new overpass are expected to begin in May, when the first impacts on local traffic will also occur.
The project is expected to be completed by late 2023.
