The City of Brandon wants to hear from drivers about the potholes they hit while driving city streets.
The city’s streets and road section is encouraging people to report potholes to the 24-hour Pothole Hotline as crews start filling early-season potholes.
Crews have started the spring pothole patrol program and patching them with a temporary asphalt mix, according to a press release. The city’s public works department is planning to fill them with a more permanent hot asphalt mix later in the season.
Drivers are asked to be careful around crews as they work.
Victoria Avenue west of First Street, Richmond Avenue east of 18th Street, all of First Street, including the bridge, and all of 18th Street, including the bridges, are provincial jurisdiction and don’t fall under the pothole program. Residents should call 1-866-626-4862 to report issues on those roads.
The pothole program also does not apply to the sloped approaches leading into private driveways or the parking lots of private businesses.
