Search warrants lead to four arrests
Police allegedly found meth, bear mace and imitation guns during two search warrants on Friday.
At approximately 8 p.m., police searched two neighbouring apartments on the 500 block of Louise Avenue. Officers reportedly found nine grams of methamphetamine, cash, drug trafficking supplies, a can of bear mace and imitation guns in one apartment, according to police.
In the other, officers allegedly found another gram of meth, more drug trafficking supplies and a Giant brand electric bike, which had been reported stolen.
Four people were charged in total.
A 52-year-old woman was charged with failing to comply with probation and failing to attend court. A 34-year-old woman was charged with theft under $5,000. Both are scheduled to appear in court on May 30.
A 35-year-old woman was charged with possession of meth for the purpose of trafficking, possessing the proceeds of crime and possession of a weapon. She is scheduled to appear in court on June 9.
At 27-year-old man was is also scheduled to appear in court on June 9 after being charged with possession of meth for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime.
Police investigate television theft
Police are investigating after intruders allegedly stole a television from an apartment on Sunday.
The break-in was at a residence on the 2700 block of Rosser Avenue, police say. Suspects are believed to have forced open a door overnight and stolen a brand-new 55-inch Samsung television still in its packaging.
