Two men died in a two-vehicle collision near Neepawa, Spruce Plains RCMP reported on Friday.

Around 4:55 a.m., police responded to the incident approximately 21 kilometres east of Neepawa on Highway 16, between Roads 74W and 74W.

Two pickup trucks had collided head-on, with one truck rolling into a ditch and the other remaining on the highway.

Both drivers, a 50-year-old man from Sandy Bay First Nation and a 44-year-old man from Gladstone, were pronounced dead at the scene. There were no other occupants in either vehicle.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
