The Waywayseecappo Wolverines continue to build their roster for the 2022-23 season.
On Friday, forward Landon Van Engelen of Tofield, Alta., inked a letter of intent to join the Manitoba Junior Hockey League club this fall.
The 18-year-old had 18 points – five goals and 13 assists — in 37 regular season games last season for the Fort Saskatchewan Rangers of the Alberta Elite Hockey League Under-18 AAA circuit.
He also had three points in the team’s run to the league final.
In other MJHL news, the Winnipeg Freeze have named Jay Pylypuik as their new head coach and general manager.
He had spent the last six seasons in U Sports as an assistant coach for the Mount Royal Cougars and the Calgary Dinos men’s programs.
