Two people were charged after police allegedly found a woman with stolen property.
At approximately 5 p.m. on Monday, police received a report a woman was trying to cash a stolen cheque at a business on the 1100 block of Rosser Avenue. She reportedly got into a taxi with another person and left.
Police were able to locate her in the 400 block of Seventh Street, allegedly in possession of property stolen from vehicles on the North Hill the night before. She also allegedly had stolen sports equipment from a garage on Cater Drive.
She was charged with possession of property obtained by crime and scheduled to appear in court on July 25.
A 32-year-old man with her was also arrested. He reportedly gave police a fake name, but his identity was confirmed through fingerprints.
