Strawberry season off to a sweet start

The wet, cool weather hasn’t dampened people’s love for strawberries, as crowds flocked to Grand Valley Strawberries U-pick farm to get their fill of the seasonal delicacy. Heavy rain pushed the farm’s opening date back one day to Tuesday. The farm is charging $18 to fill a four-litre pail and there are no pre-picked pails for sale at this time. Pickers can bring their own pails, or the farm provides them for no extra charge. More information on times and conditions can be found on the farm’s Facebook page, or at grandvalley-strawberries.ca.
