The Brandon and Area Car Enthusiasts (BACE) hosted its final Cruise Night in Downtown Brandon of the season on Thursday, encouraging hundreds of Westman gear heads to park their automotive pet projects along Rosser Avenue.
While the evening was warm and stuffy, attendees seemed to be in good spirits throughout the opening 30 minutes of the event, especially since they got the opportunity to take part in a mostly full Cruise Night season this year.
Outside of getting rained out on May 19, BACE successfully organized four massive gatherings in downtown Brandon on June 2, July 7, Aug. 4 and finally Sept. 1.

This marks a sharp contrast from the past two years, when COVID-19 restrictions relegated BACE to organizing a single downtown cruise on Sept. 2, 2021.
But now that strict COVID regulations have been lifted provincewide, BACE and related groups like the Brandon Road Rebels are still looking to squeeze in a couple more automotive get-togethers before the snow starts to fall.
The Road Rebels, for example, is putting together its 12th car show and barbecue fundraiser at Dinsdale Park on Sept. 11. All the proceeds will go to the Elspeth Reid Family Resource Centre.
For more information on this and other fall car events in Westman, you can visit the Road Rebels’ official Facebook page.
