Girl caught with replica gun

A teenager has been arrested after allegedly being found in possession of a loaded replica gun Tuesday evening.

Police found a group of youth in the area of the 1000 block of 10th Street and saw one of them holding a handgun.

The 17-year-old girl who was in possession of the Glock replica gun was arrested and will appear in court on June 6.

A 28-year-old man who was also with the group was found to be wanted on outstanding charges and was taken into police custody.

Vehicle theft

A 28-year-old man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly stealing a vehicle that was left running outside a business on the 800 block of 18th Street.

The owner of the 2005 Honda Civic left their phone in the running vehicle while they went inside to pick up a pizza delivery. Police used the phone’s tracking app to locate the vehicle, which was found in the 300 block of Second Street.

The man was arrested after he was found hiding in a nearby yard, with the car keys and debit machine from the pizza delivery business in his possession.

Man found with break-in tools

A 27-year-old man was arrested for allegedly possessing break-in tools while police were working on another case.

While a search for a stolen vehicle led them to the 300 block of Second Street, police came across a man who was wanted on outstanding charges.

He was also allegedly in possession of bolt cutters.

Impaired driving

A woman has been arrested for impaired driving after she drove into the construction area at the Daly Bridge on Tuesday afternoon.

The 40-year-old woman drove past several road-closed signs and into very deep mud.

Her breath samples indicated her blood-alcohol level was three times the legal limit.

She was charged with driving while ability impaired and driving with more than 80 miligrams of alcohol in blood.

She will appear in court on April 20.

Theft under $5,000

A 33-year-old man who allegedly stole merchandise from a business on the 3400 block of Victoria Avenue on Monday has been arrested.

Police used security footage from the business to identify the man and located him Tuesday.

He has been charged with failure to comply with a release order and theft under $5,000.
