Skid Row, Buckcherry coming to Westoba Place
Two American hard-rock bands that were at the top of the billboard charts in the 1980s and ’90s are heading for Brandon in late fall.
Skid Row and Buckcherry recently added Westoba Place to their sold-out tour, called The Gang’s All Here, with a set date of Oct. 21.
The two bands recently wrapped up their spring tour of more than a dozen cities, with at least 30 stops planned for the second leg, which begins in Texas at the House of Blues.
Skid Row produced six albums from 1989 to 2022, with their debut album reaching five million sales worldwide. Well-known singles include “Money Business” and “Youth Gone Wild.”
During Skid Row’s rise, the band opened for Bon Jovi, Guns n’ Roses, Van Halen and KISS.
Buckcherry formed in 1995 and released two albums, with the first one going gold, selling 500,000 copies worldwide. “Vol. 10” is their 10th and latest album.
The band dissolved in 2002 and reformed in 2005, releasing a new album a year later titled “15,” which contained Blackcherry’s biggest hits “Crazy Bitch,” and their first single to hit the Billboard Hot 100, “Sorry.”

Released on bail
An 18-year-old man who was allegedly found with a pellet pistol and a knife after running away from police Monday afternoon was released on bail.
The man, who is facing charges of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, failure to comply with probation order and resisting arrest, was released from police custody Tuesday with court-ordered conditions to not attend the Kristopher Campbell Memorial Skate Plaza.
He will next appear in court on May 23.
Theft under $5,000
A 31-year-old woman was arrested Monday after allegedly stealing from a business on the 700 block of 18th Street.
Security footage helped police identify the woman.
According to police, the woman was also found to be the suspect in a previous theft from a business on the 900 block of Victoria Avenue.
She was arrested and charged with theft under $5,000.
