Brandon-based Cando Rail & Terminals announced Tuesday it had completed expansions of its terminal in Sarnia, Ont.
In a release issued Tuesday, the company wrote it had first purchased the terminal in spring 2021.
The recently completed expansion brings the railcar capacity of the terminal from 85 spots to approximately 550.
The site is located in the Sarnia Chemical Valley region, with the 90-acre property directly serviced by CN Rail off of its St. Clair industrial spur.
A grand opening is scheduled for later this week.
Cando was founded in Brandon in 1978. The company was purchased by the Alberta Investment Management Corporation in July 2022.
