Students with the Manitoba Emergency Services College took their final exams on Wednesday, by proving their life-saving skills along the Assiniboine River in Brandon.

Evaluations were divided into morning and afternoon groups, as students went through their equipment safety checks and water exercises at Dinsdale Park and the walking bridge that spans the river at the Riverbank Discovery Centre.

Ten students and their evaluators took part in the all-day exercises. Evaluations will continue in Brandon and Rivers until July 19.
