Spectators enjoyed the display put on by the Canadian Forces Snowbirds, 431 Air Demonstration Squadron, over the Brandon Municipal Airport on Thursday afternoon during a stopover at the Brandon Flight Centre en route to Winnipeg.

This aerial showcase drew a significant crowd of students and staff from the flight centre, including some air cadets who are staying in Brandon for summer training.

This was the Snowbirds’ first stop in Brandon since 2020 when they visited the Wheat City as part of Operation Inspiration, a tour aimed at raising morale during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The tour ended in tragedy May 17, 2020 when one of the Snowbirds crashed in Kamloops, B.C., killing Capt. Jennifer Casey.

The snowbirds are performing an airshow in Winnipeg on Saturday at The Forks.
