Waywayseecappo Wolverines head coach and general manager Taylor Harnett will have two new faces joining him on the bench this season.
The Manitoba Junior Hockey League club announced on Thursday that Landyn Cochrane and Grayson Neufeld have joined the Wolverines coaching staff for the 2023-24 campaign.
The pair are replacing former associate coach Josh Lee, who had been with the club for the last five seasons.
Cochrane, 26, played with the Wolverines from 2015 to 2017. The Russell product rounded out his junior career with the NAHL’s Minot Minotauros and the Virden Oil Capitals in 2017-18.
He then spent five seasons with the Minot State Beavers and rounded out his collegiate career with ACHA Division 1 title last spring.
The 25-year-old Neufeld also spent three seasons at Minot State from 2018 to 2021. The Yorkton, Sask., native played his junior hockey in the KIJHL with the Grand Forks Border Bruins and the Fernie Ghostriders.
The Wolverines’ training camp wraps up Saturday. They open the MJHL preseason on Sunday afternoon with a visit to the Swan Valley Stampeders.
