BRANDON UNIVERSITY

There are no classes at Brandon University this week, with the exception of the After Degree Education program, due to the fall study break. Classes will resume on Monday, Nov. 20. The Healthy Living Centre remains open for its regular hours this week.

Andrea Thomson and Joanne Winsor Murray will talk about mental health nurses who experience disabilities on Thursday as part of the Faculty of Health Studies and Centre for Critical Studies of Rural Mental Health Seminar Series. The online talk will take place from noon to 1 p.m. Email YoungT@BrandonU.ca for more information.

The Bobcats basketball teams host the University of Calgary Dinos at the Healthy Living Centre on Friday and Saturday. The women’s game tips off on Friday at 6 p.m., followed by the men at 8 p.m. On Saturday, the women will play at 5 p.m., with the men next up at 7 p.m.

The Evans Theatre is showing “The Lesson” this weekend, with showtimes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Liam, an aspiring and ambitious young writer, eagerly accepts a tutoring position at the family estate of his idol, renowned author J.M. Sinclair. But soon, Liam realizes that he is ensnared in a web of family secrets, resentment and retribution. Admission is $6.

The Block ’N Roll co-ed volleyball tournament returns to the Healthy Living Centre this December. The tournament will take place on Dec. 1-2, and the cost to register is $250 per team. More details are available at HealthyLivingCentre.ca.
