Domestic assault
Early Sunday morning at about 4:43 a.m., police responded to a residence in the south end of Brandon for what they said was a domestic-related complaint.
Once on scene, officers said they arrested a 25-year-old Brandon man and charged him with domestic assault.
Suspect found with meth
In the early morning hours of Saturday, at about 1:30 a.m., police responded to a business in the 1500 block of Richmond Ave. East to a report that a vehicle was driving around the compound.
Officers stopped the vehicle and said the woman in the passenger seat was in possession of methamphetamine and had identification that belonged to another person.
Police say the driver told them he had been stealing diesel from the compound.
Both the 40-year-old woman and 41-year-old man were charged with break and enter and possessing property obtained by crime, with a mischief under $5,000 added to the man’s charges.
Front door smashed
Saturday evening at about 9:30 p.m., police were called to the 100 block of 13th Street responding to a report of disturbance at a residence.
When officers arrived, they said the front door of the home had been smashed, and that the person responsible had left.
A short time later, police located a 24-year-old Brandon man who they said was responsible for smashing the door. He was arrested and charged with Mischief Under $5,000.
Intoxicated cab customer
A taxi driver called police early Sunday morning at about 2:05 a.m., about an intoxicated person causing a problem.
According to police, the cab driver was having trouble with an intoxicated fare who wouldn’t get out of his taxi. Police said they arrested the highly intoxicated 28-year-old Brandon man, who was lodged at Brandon Police Service until sober.
Winnipeg police find wanted man
Winnipeg Police arrested a man known to Brandon Police.
Early Sunday morning at about 2:39 a.m., Winnipeg Police arrested a 40-year-old man who had a warrant issued by Brandon Police for breaching a previous release order.
The man was held in custody in Winnipeg, with a court date scheduled in the future.
