After two days of action from the four-day Victoria Inn high school hockey tournament at the Keystone Centre, plus four games in Rivers, the Crocus Plainsmen are winless in two games.
The host team opened play on Thursday at Flynn Arena with an 8-6 loss to the St. John’s Ravenscourt Eagles (2-0), then dropped an 8-0 decision Friday morning to the Fort Frances Muskies (1-1) at Enns Arena.
Meanwhile, the Vincent Massey Vikings opened with a 6-1 triumph facing the Sanford Sabres (0-2) on Thursday at Enns Arena.
Crocus sniper Gilbert Teneycke found the five-hole to beat St. John's Ravenscourt goalie Max Gillman during third-period action at Flynn Arena. The Plainsmen dropped an 8-6 decision to the Eagles on the opening day of the 24-team Victoria Inn high school hockey tournament.

The Vikings then travelled on Friday to Rivers, where they faced the Beaver Brae Broncos (1-1), Vincent Massey improved to 2-0 with an 8-2 triumph.
With 57 games on the tournament docket, play resumes today at 8 a.m. with pool cross-over play. Crocus (0-2) is scheduled to play at Westoba Place at 2 p.m., with the Sandy Bay Badgers (0-2) as opponents.
The Vikings (2-0) will be back in action on Saturday at 10:15 a.m. with a tilt at Flynn Arena. The team’s opponent is scheduled to be the Sturgeon Heights Huskies (2-0).
The gold medal game is slated for Flynn Arena on Sunday at 2:15 p.m. The bronze medal tilt is next door at Enns Arena starting at 4 p.m.
