Hey there, time traveller!

There’s a log-jam at the top in the seven-team U15 AAA Manitoba Female Hockey League, and a victory on Friday night by the Brandon Wheat Kings should benefit the home side.
With a 7-5-3 record, the third-place Wheat Kings trail first-place Eastern Selects (13-1-0) and second-place Pembina Valley Hawks (10-4-0).
Coach Karissa Kirkup’s team host the fourth-place Yellowhead Chiefs (6-8-2) at J&G Arena. Puck drop at 7:45 p.m.
Brandon will rely on its top-three scorers — Brynn Rice (11-3-14), Rachel Lyvor (2-6-8), Quinn Twordik (3-5-8) — to generate offence facing Chiefs goalie Madison Fleury (4-5-2, 2.67 GAA).
Wheat Kings goalies Morgan Gouldie (2-1-0, .034 GAA) or Shannon Hees (5-1-2, 1.33 GAA) will need to be on their games, with Yellowhead’s top snipers Chloe Faces (10-11-21) and Nicole Rozdeba (7-10-17) around the net.
The Wheat Kings are stingy playing at home, with a 5-1 record, while the Chiefs sport a 2-5 record when playing on the road.
When it comes to offensive/defensive play, Brandon has outscored opponents 26-19, while Yellowhead has scored 35 goals, while allowing 54.
Brandon then plays the Selects in Niverville on Saturday at 3:30 p.m., with three more games on the schedule before going on Christmas break: road trips to Deloraine on Dec. 17 and 22 to face the fifth-place Westman Wildcats (5-8-0); Hawks play host to the Wheat Kings on Dec. 23.
