Photos of the Year 2

As 2023 comes to a close and I pore through more than 3,450 photos I filed for the Brandon Sun throughout the past year, my personal favourites again come from my time documenting the prairies outside Brandon. Most of my selected images come not from assignments or big events, but from moments found while travelling the grid roads of western Manitoba. They tell some of the story of life on the Prairies. As a photojournalist, it is a pleasure to be out in the communities documenting daily life rather than chained to a desk in an office. I’m lucky to be able to tell these stories.
