2019-20

BWK goalie: Jiri Patera.
Vancouver goalie: Trent Miner.
Shots: 40-32 VAN.
PP: BWK 2-9. VAN 0-7.
Attendance: 3,208.
RECAP: Patera made 40 saves to outduel the Brandonite Miner. Brandon scored once in each period, with Mccartney’s winner coming late in the first period. Ridly Greig had a pair of assists as the teams combined for 18 minor penalties.
2017-18

BWK goal scorers: Kale Clague (3), Stelio Mattheos, Ty Lewis, Kade Jensen.
Vancouver scorers: Ty Ronning (3), Dylan Plouffe (2)
BWK goalie: Logan Thompson.
Vancouver goalie: David Tendeck.
Shots: 34-32 VAN.
PP: BWK 4-5. VAN 3-6.
Attendance: 3,909.
RECAP: You don’t see many games with seven power-play goals and two hat tricks. Brandon led 5-2 after 40 minutes but the Giants scored twice in the third period. Jensen’s late goal proved to be the winner after Vancouver also sniped in the final two minutes.
2015-16

Vancouver scorers: Carter Popoff (2), Clayton Kirichenko.
BWK goalie: Jordan Papirny.
Vancouver goalie: Ryan Kubic.
Shots: 43-30 BWK.
PP: BWK 2-5. VAN 1-2.
Attendance: 3,702.
RECAP: Vancouver tied it after Brandon took a 2-0 lead, but Quenneville’s goal with six seconds left in the first period was a difference maker. Hawryluk had four helpers, and Quenneville, Patrick and Provorov also has two assists each.
2013-14

BWK goal scorers: Richard Nejezchleb (2), John Quenneville (2).
Vancouver scorers: Jackson Houck, Dalton Thrower, Anthony Ast.
BWK goalie: Jordan Papirny.
Vancouver goalie: Payton Lee.
Shots: 30-24 BWK.

Attendance: 3,205.
RECAP: Brandon scored three goals in the second period and Quenneville’s insurance marker in the third period proved to be the winner when Ast sniped a couple minutes later. Rihards Bukarts and Ryan Pulock each had two assists for Brandon.
2011-12

Vancouver goalie: Adam Morrison, Jackson Whistle.
Shots: 29-26 BWK.
PP: BWK 2-6. VAN 2-5.
Attendance: 3,412.
RECAP: Brandon snapped a four-game losing streak to Vancouver but it wasn’t easy as they trailed 4-2 early in the second period after Gallagher scored his third goal in seven minutes. Bertaggia and Melnychuk’s goals came 61 seconds apart to tie it and Stone’s winner came 35 seconds into the third period.
2009-10

BWK goalie: Jacob De Serres.
Vancouver goalie: Mark Segal.

PP: BWK 0-5. VAN 1-4.
Attendance: 4,413
RECAP: Segal made 36 saves and Redmond’s unassisted goal 6:37 proved to be the difference. It was defenceman Travis Hamonic’s second game in the lineup as the Wheat king prepared to host the Memorial Cup.
2007-08

Vancouver scorers: Evander Kane (2), Jonathon Blum, Spencer Machacek.
BWK goalie: Joe Caligiuri.
Vancouver goalie: Tyson Sexsmith.
Shots: 38-17 VAN.
PP: BWK 0-4. VAN 2-3.
Attendance: 4,621.
RECAP: Hardcore fans might remember this as the game that featured the first meeting between Kane and Brayden Schenn, who were two of the top 16-year-old forwards in the league. Schenn had an assist as Brandon trailed 2-1 after the first and 3-1 after 40 minutes.
2005-06

BWK goal scorers: Daryl Boyle, John Wikner, Ryan Reaves.
Vancouver scorers: Jonathon Blum, Michal Repik, Cody Franson, Kyle Lamb, Keith Voytechek, Mitch Bartley, Tim Kraus.
BWK goalie: Kurt Jory, Tyler Plante.
Vancouver goalie: Dustin Slade.
Shots: 28-24 VAN.
PP: BWK 1-5. VAN 3-6.
Attendance: 3,368.
RECAP: The rout seemed to be on 2:02 into the game as Brandon took a 2-0 lead. But the Giants scored the next seven goals and the former Brandon goalie Slade made 21 saves in the win. Repack, Bartley and Kraus all enjoyed three-point nights with two helpers.
2003-04

Vancouver scorers: Tim Kraus, Gilbert Brule, Ty Morris, Kyle Bruce.

Vancouver goalie: Aaron Sorochan, Jordan McLaughlin.
Shots: 24-23 VAN.
PP: BWK 0-5. VAN 1-5.
Attendance: 3,109.
RECAP: Eleven minutes into the game, Brandon led 3-0. Vancouver pulled Sorochan and McLaughlin stopped all 16 shots he faced. The Giants tied the game later in the period with three goals in five minutes and Bruce’s marker late in the second period proved to be the winner.
2001-02

RECAP: Harris scored the first two goals of the game, and when Vancouver replied less than two minutes after the second one to make it 2-1, Brandon scored twice in the next four minutes to put the game away. Craig and Adrian Foster both had a pair of assists.
