Manitoba Ag Days will host craft beer enthusiasts at the Keystone Centre’s Dome Building on Jan. 15 at 7 p.m. for the much-anticipated ‘Produced on the Prairies’ Craft Beer Tasting Event.
The three-hour extravaganza promises an immersive experience into Manitoba’s burgeoning craft brewing scene, showcasing the finest offerings from the province’s leading independent breweries.
Attendees will have the exclusive opportunity to sample an eclectic array of brews crafted by notable names such as Kilter, Farmery, Obsolete, Black Wheat Brewing, Section 6, Trans Canada, Dead Horse Cider, Namesake Brewing, Dastardly Villain, and many more.
“Kick off your Manitoba Ag Days experience with an all-new event!” the event’s spokesperson said. “We’ve never met a beer we didn’t like, and we’re excited to share these remarkable brews with our guests while highlighting their roots in our province’s agriculture.”
Tickets for Produced on the Prairies are available through Eventbrite, offering attendees a mobile eTicket for seamless access to this gathering. For those seeking an enriching and flavourful start to the Manitoba Ag Days, this event promises an evening of discovery, indulgence, and appreciation for our province’s union of agriculture and brewing.
But this event is not solely about sipping and savouring. It celebrates the connection between the craft brewing industry and Manitoba’s rich agricultural landscape. Guests will delve into the integral role played by these breweries in our province’s agricultural sector, fostering a deeper understanding of their symbiotic relationship.
Manitoba Ag Days board of directors co-chair Brad Crammond said ‘Produced on the Prairies,’ will be evident throughout the show in several ways, including through new events and partnerships.
“The Prairies often don’t get the attention they deserve on the national stage, and even people who reside there can become complacent about all they have to offer, which is why this year’s theme is so important,” said Ag Days Media Co-ordinator Teresa Vallotton. “Sometimes, when we’re raised here, we don’t even recognize the richness in our backyard, and what we have right around us, so we wanted to highlight things produced on the Prairies,” she said.
From locally sourced ingredients to the entrepreneurial spirit driving these brands forward, Produced on the Prairies aims to bridge the gap between consumers and the dedicated minds behind Manitoba’s craft beer revolution. Entrepreneurs and business owners will be on hand to share insights into their brewing processes, agricultural ties, and the stories behind their brands.
The event isn’t solely focused on libations; it’s a holistic celebration of Manitoba’s culinary scene. Alongside the craft brews, attendees can relish food products from Manitoba-based food producers, including La Cocina Chips, Von Slick’s Flavoured Butter, Amanda Lynn Gluten-Free Perogies, Lady Di Snackers Pretzels, Cranked Energy Bar, Prairie Crickets, and more, offering a palate-pleasing complement to the evening’s libations.
