Yellowhead Chiefs goaltender Natalie Rampton has joined the 2024 recruiting class of Midland University in Fremont, Neb.

Originally from Kenton, the five-foot-six Rampton has been busy with the second-place Chiefs this season, compiling an 8-5-2-2 record playing in the U18 AAA Manitoba Female Midget Hockey League. In her 25 league plus tournament games, she has four shutouts, a save percentage of .927, and a goals-against average of 2.12.

Warriors head women’s hockey coach Jason White announced Tuesday he added Rampton for the 2024-25 season.

“Natalie is one of the top goalies in Manitoba and will have an immediate impact at Midland,” said White.

“She is a tremendous student-athlete with a competitive drive on the ice and in the classroom. She is technically sound and possesses the talent and skill to help our program win hockey games.”

Rampton is the second Chiefs player to commit to a post-secondary school following her Grade 12 graduation this June. Team scoring leader forward Hannah Reagh committed to the University of Calgary Dinos.
