Theft under $5,000
A woman was arrested for allegedly shoplifting at a Brandon business on Thursday.
Police were called to a business on the 1200 block of 18th Street for a report of a woman who had left the store with a cart full of clothing.

Police responded and arrested the 37-year-old woman for the theft. She also allegedly provided a false name to police, so officers subsequently charged her for public mischief.
She will appear in court on March 28.
Assault at business
A 27-year-old woman was arrested for assault after allegedly punching an employee of a Pacific Avenue business on Thursday.
She was arrested and will appear in court on March 28.
Threats to employer
A 43-year-old man was arrested for allegedly making threats against an employer of a 14th Street business on Thursday.
Police say they received a report of a disgruntled employee who allegedly made numerous threats of violence toward his employer.
Possession of meth
A 30-year-old man was arrested for possession of methamphetamine after a traffic stop on Thursday night.
Around 11:37 p.m., police conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Van Horne Avenue.
According to police, a passenger in the vehicle was observed to be attempting to conceal a small baggy under his feet.
The man was arrested for possession of meth and will appear in court on March. 14.
RCMP make arrest in serious assault
Virden RCMP have charged a 60-year-old man for an assault in Sioux Valley that landed the victim in hospital on Thursday.
Around 2:45 p.m., Virden RCMP received a report of an assault in Sioux Valley Dakota Nation. When police arrived on scene at the home, they found a 55-year-old man with significant injuries from an assault. He was taken to hospital, where he remains in stable condition.
John Robert Hall, 60, also known as John Hapa, was arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm.
In Brandon provincial court on Friday morning, the Crown opposed Hall’s release. But after a bail hearing, the judge granted Hall release to return to Sioux Valley Dakota Nation.
