Families in Brandon experienced a day filled with laughter, joy, and limitless adventures at the Family Fun Day organized by the Keystone Centre in collaboration with Limitless Events.

The event, held at the Keystone Centre, featured a wide array of interactive inflatables, obstacle courses, bounce houses, giant games, arcade thrills, inflatable axe throwing, mobile zipline, and much more.

Limitless Events marketing manager Shelby Mymko told the Sun the inaugural event was designed for the community.

“We wanted to put on this event for the kids to enjoy, especially on this busy weekend, want to make sure there’s something for them to do,” she said. “We just wanted to give back to our community by giving some money to Western Dreams for kids.”

The event proved to be a resounding success, with Mymko expressing satisfaction with the turnout. “We’ve had our staff training on all of our equipment, and the kids seem to be enjoying themselves. They’re jumping around like crazy. I think this will be a great addition to our community.”

Mymko, when asked about the event’s capacity said, “About 20 minutes ago, we were at 700 and the room can accommodate about 900.”

The event’s popularity is expected to continue into the next session, with Mymko anticipating a similar level of enthusiasm, especially with the Tournament of Champions in town. “I’m expecting it to be just as busy as it was this morning, if not bigger.”

Despite the success, Mymko hinted at improvements for future events: “Maybe making sure we have more information out for the community before the event so that they are very prepared for what’s going to happen when they’re here.”

She said the entry fee was set at a nominal $2, with all proceeds dedicated to supporting Westman Dreams for Kids, a local charity committed to making dreams come true for children in the Westman region.

Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, three young attendees shared their excitement. Ten-year-old Emma King exclaimed, “This is the coolest day ever! I love the giant games and bouncing on the inflatables. I want to come back next year!”

Sam Ojo, 9, said, “I’ve never seen anything like this before. The obstacle courses are challenging, but I did it! I’m having a blast, and it’s for a good cause. Best day ever!”

The Family Fun Day, Mymko said, not only provided entertainment for families but also served as a platform for the community to come together and support a worthy cause, exemplifying the spirit of unity and generosity in Brandon.
