Multiple assaults
Brandon police arrested three people for assault in three separate incidents on Thursday.
At 7:25 a.m., police were called to a disturbance at a home on Franklin Avenue, where they arrested a 39-year-old man who was allegedly assaulting his 44-year-old girlfriend.

He will appear in court on April 25.
At 3:19 p.m., police were called to a disturbance at a home in the 400 block of 12th Street and arrested a 60-year-old man for allegedly assaulting his 49-year-old ex-girlfriend.
He will appear in court on April 8.
Then at 3:53 p.m., police were called to the Brandon hospital after a 27-year-old man allegedly assaulted a security guard with his cane.
He will appear on April 25.
Theft under $5,000
A 29-year-old was arrested on Thursday for allegedly stealing from a Brandon business.
At 11:35 p.m., police received a call from a business in the 800 block of First Street for a man who allegedly entered the business and stole $80 worth of merchandise and fled.
- He was arrested and will appear in court on April 25.
