“Whether that be directly from high school, transferring from another institution or entering the post-secondary environment as a mature student, the event is for you,” Nicolas said in a release issued by the college on Thursday. “Nothing compares to getting people on campus and exploring the programs to get a real sense of what we can offer students.”

The Practical Nursing program is the largest program of study at Assiniboine, the release stated. Demand for the program is high, with 100 percent of graduates surveyed from the 2021-22 academic year reporting that they got jobs following graduation earning an average salary of more than $57,000 per year.

“College staff will be available to answer any questions you may have, take students through the admission requirements, financial aid opportunities, learning support services, and events and amenities on campus,” the release said.
