Uttering threats
A 38-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly threatening an employee in a Brandon business.
Around 9:35 p.m., police were called to a business on the 900 block of 18th Street North after an employee reported that a woman threatened to use a knife on her. No knife was produced, however, and police did not find a knife.
The woman was charged with uttering threats and will appear in court on April 25.
Impaired driver
A 35-year-old man was arrested early Friday morning after allegedly driving under the influence.
Around 3:08 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop in the 1700 block of Highland Avenue as the licence plates on the vehicle did not match the vehicle.
Police arrested the driver, who provided breath samples that were just over the legal limit.
He will appear in court on March 28.
Ward 7 park meeting scheduled for Monday
Ward 7 residents are invited to a public meeting on Monday to discuss the “Olivia the Brave Park” project in their neighbourhood.
Olivia Baessler was a four-year-old who died in 2020 of a congenital illness.
The park is being developed in her memory and the meeting is gathering residents’ feedback on its creation.
The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. in the music room at Linden Lanes School at 49 Silver Birch Dr.
