MFNPS members on patrol located a man wanted on an outstanding warrant. Police say when they approached him and told him that he was under arrest, the man resisted and officers had to use a stun gun to take him into custody. A search of the man revealed a 12-inch machete, meth and various items related to drug trafficking.

Three charged for trafficking

Three people were arrested early Friday morning after allegedly being found with more than 100 grams of methamphetamine and a can of bear spray.

Around 4 a.m., police conducted a traffic stop in the 1200 block of 10th Street. Police say the three people in the vehicle got out of it and started to walk away.

Officers say they observed a meth pipe in the vehicle. The trio was arrested and the vehicle was searched.

Inside it, police found a bag containing 102 grams of meth and a can of bear spray. Police also said that when they conducted individual searches, each of them had an additional small amount of meth.

A 31-year-old woman, a 35-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man were charged with drug trafficking offences.

Domestic assault

A 36-year-old man was arrested on Thursday after allegedly choking his 35-year-old girlfriend at a home in the 500 block of 37th Street.

He will appear in court on May 9.
