The end of the winter term is rapidly approaching, with final exams wrapping up on Saturday. Many School of Music students are also performing their year-end recitals. A list of those recitals is available at BrandonU.ca/Music. The spring term begins on May 6, and for graduating students Convocation will take place on May 30-31.

The Evans Theatre is showing “Dream Scenario” this weekend. Hapless family man Paul Matthews finds his life turned upside down when millions of strangers suddenly start seeing him in their dreams. But when his nighttime appearances take a nightmarish turn, Paul is forced to navigate his newfound stardom. Showings begin at 7:30 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. Admission is $6.

Former Humboldt Broncos coach Chris Beaudry will give a free public talk on April 24 to open the Mental Health on the Prairies Conference. University of Winnipeg professor Jan DeFehr and Wildflower Alliance director Sera Davidow will be other keynote speakers for the conference, which runs until April 26. The conference will include a series of lived experience and keynote speakers, along with presentations from researchers and mental health partners across Canada. The Assiniboine Community College Students’ Association is excited to announce that we’re celebrating the grand opening of our newly renovated space in Crossroads! Join us on April 17 to celebrate the new space, and the many cultures that make up the student body of Assiniboine Community College. Festivities will take place in Crossroads of the Victoria Avenue East Campus on April 17, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. You won’t want to miss this, as there is a grand prize up for grabs!
