Transdev Canada, a mobility company, has acquired Patient Transport Services, the largest non-emergency medical transportation company in Manitoba, operating in Winnipeg, Brandon and Carman.

With a presence in six provinces and one territory, Transdev Canada has 4,700 employees operating in the transit, student, paratransit, medical and rail sectors, notably following the recent acquisition of the activities of First Transit.

Chief executive officer Arthur Nicolet said the company is pleased to be able to establish itself in Manitoba, lauding the considerable experience of Patient Transport Services and its team.

Patient Transport Services vice-president Lolo Eckert said the company is a leading supplier to Manitoba.

“We have become a benchmark for safety and quality of service thanks to the unwavering engagement of our teams throughout our company’s history,” he said.

“In Transdev, we have found an excellent ally to continue our growth and to support health-care organizations in the transportation of patients. This is a new chapter for the company, and I’m thrilled that the entire team is a part of it.”
