Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose
Three teens were arrested for allegedly possessing a machete in the Meadows area on Wednesday evening.
Around 5:40 p.m., police received a report that multiple individuals were chasing a person with a machete in Buttercup Bay. Police located four male teens in the area matching the description.
Police say one of the teens was not involved in the incident and the person who was being chased refused to co-operate with officers.
A search of the remaining three teens resulted in police locating a machete, a knife and bear spray.
A 16-year-old, 17-year-old and 15-year-old were charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose. They are due to appear in court on Aug. 7.
Theft under $5,000
A 37-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly stealing merchandise worth more than $100 from a business in the Corral Centre on Wednesday.
She is due to appear in court on Aug. 1.
Carry concealed weapon
A 57-year-old man was arrested for allegedly concealing a knife in his waist band after a traffic stop early Thursday morning.
Police say they conducted the traffic stop in the 100 block of 13th Street after they observed a passenger in the vehicle not wearing a seatbelt and unstamped tobacco in plain view.
The passenger was arrested and a further search revealed a knife that was allegedly tucked into his waist band and a small amount of cocaine.
He is due to appear in court on July 11.
