Brandon United Football Club (BUFC) has opened registration for its youth indoor soccer program, set to run from October 2024 to March 2025.
The program is designed to cater to a wide range of skill levels and age groups, offering local youth an opportunity to develop their soccer abilities in a structured and supportive environment.
BUFC president Rodrigo Riquelme said the indoor program aims to introduce new players to basic soccer techniques while helping more experienced athletes hone their skills.

“Our fees vary depending on the program, but most are in the range of $160 to $180 for an eight-week program with two sessions per week. Participants can also choose between a half or full season,” he told the Sun.
The program, he added, is open to boys and girls aged five to 17, with age-specific groups designed to ensure participants receive appropriate training. The club expects to host at least 120 players across several divisions, including U6, U9, U11, U14, Girls U10, Girls U13, and Boys U17.
To accommodate the expected number of participants, BUFC will use several indoor venues throughout Brandon.
“We use various gyms across the city that meet our space and quality standards,” he said. “These include Brandon University, Brandon School Division gyms, and other suitable venues. This variety of locations allows us to provide a consistent training experience despite the limitations of indoor space.”
Brandon United FC, he added, is also proud to be affiliated with Villarreal C.F., a professional soccer club based in Spain.

“Additionally, BUFC is recognized as a Quality Soccer Provider by the Canada Soccer Association, a distinction that underscores our commitment to delivering high-standard soccer training,” he said.
“Our partnership with Villarreal C.F. brings in technical training for our coaches and helps us maintain a high standard for our players. It’s a significant advantage for young players in Brandon who are serious about their soccer development.”
